Integrations & automations

JobTread lead capture

Each inquiry creates the customer, contact, address and job in the owner’s JobTread “New Lead” column.

JobTread to blog

A monthly routine turns completed JobTread jobs into draft blog posts with the completion photos.

Connection health check

A weekly check keeps the JobTread connection alive and emails the owner if it ever breaks.

Google search

Rich structured data, city and service pages, and clean redirects protect and grow local rankings.

MCA WoodWorks is a Kansas City remodeling contractor serving Lee’s Summit, Kansas City and Johnson County. Since 2020 they have been finishing basements, remodeling bathrooms and building custom built-ins and carpentry. Like most contractors, the owner would rather be on a job site than at a keyboard, so the website needed to do more of the office work.

The challenge

The old site ran on WordPress with a page builder, plus blog posts left behind by a previous marketing company. Leads came in through a separate JobTread web form that lived apart from the rest of the site.

The owner runs the business in JobTread, so every inquiry eventually had to end up there. Any step between the website and JobTread is a chance to retype a phone number wrong or let a lead sit. And keeping a blog fresh is hard when you are busy building the projects you would be writing about.

Moving off WordPress also carried a real risk: years of search rankings tied to old URLs. A careless migration can quietly undo all of it.

What we built

Website inquiries that become JobTread jobs

When a homeowner sends an inquiry, the site creates the customer, contact, address and job directly in the owner’s JobTread “New Lead” column. Nothing gets retyped.

  • Lead source, budget and timeline come along with the job.
  • Photos and files the homeowner uploads are attached.
  • The alert email includes the new JobTread job number, so the owner can jump straight to it.

Connections between systems can break quietly, so a weekly check keeps the JobTread connection alive and emails the owner if it ever stops working.

Finished jobs that turn into blog posts

This is the part owners tend to lean in on. Once a month, a routine looks at completed jobs in JobTread and turns them into draft blog posts, complete with the completion photos. It never names clients or prices. The owner reviews each draft before it is published, and 12 posts have been created this way so far.

The result is a blog that grows with the business, showing real basements, bathrooms and built-ins from real Kansas City projects, without anyone starting from a blank page.

A simple owner admin

The owner signs in with a one-time code sent to his email. There are no passwords to forget. Inside, he has:

  • a blog editor with image uploads
  • a project gallery manager
  • an inquiries inbox with attachments, a “handled” status and a link to the matching JobTread job

Pricing homeowners can trust

We also built a transparent project pricing page with ranges anchored to real signed jobs. It helps homeowners know what to expect before they reach out, which means better-fit inquiries.

A WordPress migration with no lost SEO

The new site launched in July 2026. We migrated about 20 existing blog posts and redirected every old WordPress URL in exactly one hop, so search engines and old bookmarks land in the right place. 404 errors dropped 96 to 98 percent, and all 49 URLs in the sitemap return a healthy page.

Then we built on that foundation:

  • 11 city pages and 7 service pages for areas like Lee’s Summit, Kansas City and Johnson County.
  • Deeper service pages, grown from 166–262 words to 880–1,130 words each.
  • Less duplicate wording across city pages, cut from 33–40% to a worst case of 12.5%.
  • Rich structured data for a local contractor, its services, FAQs, blog posts and breadcrumbs.
  • A security rule that blocks WordPress hacking probes while letting real search crawlers through.

The result

MCA WoodWorks now has a website that does office work. Inquiries show up in JobTread as ready-to-work leads, finished projects become blog content with a quick review, and the switch away from WordPress protected the rankings they had already earned while giving Google far more to work with.
