Michelle's Ranch Cafe · Grandview, MO
A diner website that helps Kansas City locals find Michelle’s first
We designed and built a fast, mobile-first site for a beloved Grandview diner, with a western look as warm as the food.
Michelle’s Ranch Cafe is a beloved diner in Grandview, MO, in the Kansas City metro. The food is hand-cooked and down-home, and regulars know it. The website needed to say the same thing to everyone who has not walked in yet.
The challenge
Most people find a restaurant on their phone, often while they are already hungry. They want three things fast: what is on the menu, whether the doors are open, and how to get there. A restaurant website that is slow or hard to use on a phone sends those people somewhere else.
What we built
We designed and built the marketing site from the ground up, starting with the brand.
A bold, branded identity
We created a custom western illustration style that feels true to the cafe’s character. It is the kind of look that tells you what kind of breakfast you are about to get before you read a word.
Everything a hungry visitor needs
- The menu, easy to read on any screen.
- Hours, right where people look for them.
- Daily specials, so regulars have a reason to check back.
- One-tap directions straight to the front door.
Fast and mobile-first
The site is fully responsive and built for speed and SEO from the start, so when someone nearby searches for a diner in Grandview, Michelle’s has a strong chance of showing up first.
The result
Michelle’s Ranch Cafe now has a website that matches the experience inside: warm, welcoming and easy. Locals get the answers they need in seconds, and the cafe’s personality comes through on every page.
